RESPONSE Software

Project Summary

This proposal is one of a set of three addressing the creation of an "Alaska Statewide Oil Spill Response Resource Database" as agreed to in a Cooperative Agreement of the same name Southeast Alaska Petroleum Resource Organization (SEAPRO), Cook Inlet Spill Prevention & Response (CISPRI) and Alaska Chadux Corporation are submitting parallel proposals to the Oil Spill Recovery Institute in response to the above mentioned cooperative agreement.

This database will serve as a toll for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of oil spill prevention, planning and response activities within the state of Alaska. By standardizing the logistical information of the state's cooperatives within a single logistics management tool this project will enable the sharing of resources, both equipment and personnel, and provide for more effective protection of the resources at risk.

The Cooperative Agreement precipitating this project represents an unprecedented collaboration between the oil spill response industry, state and federal regulators, and industry. Signatories to this document include the Environmental Protection Agency, the United States Coast Guard, The Navy Supervisor of Salvage, the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, all of Alaska's oil spill response organizations, and representatives of industry and the OSRI.
